Course Description
This course explores how the management of human resources can help companies meet their competitive challenges by providing training to the employees. It includes a discussion of the strategic aspects, needs assessment, transfer of training, use of technology, employee development and career management. Topics such as training program and training evaluation are examined in detail. Special issues and challenges in training are also addressed. The course would expose students to various theoretical as well as applied aspects of "Training" in organizations.
We will discuss current best practices and research on motivating, training, and supporting employees.
